Jordan Kirchner - Freshman Head Coach
From Los Angeles California, went to high school here in the valley and attended Millennium High School, but spent my senior year back in Los Angeles where I graduated from Hart High School. Attended Missouri Valley College on a Track and Football Scholarship, Transferred to the University of Arizona in 2019, and am on schedule to graduate this fall with a bachelor's in Sports Management. Started coaching 4 years ago at Copper Canyon for the 2019 Season, and then took the Varsity Receivers Coaching Job in 2020 and was the Freshman Offensive Coordinator that year as well. Worked at Marana until this past season (2022) as the Varsity Receivers Coach and JV Offensive Coordinator as well. Started working for the US National team in 2021 as a position coach at their regional camps and am still working with them during the off-season.
Coach Westrick - Offensive & Defensive Line
Coach Lucas Westrick is from Milton Wisconsin and grew up playing football. He played on the offensive and defensive line through high school. Graduated in 2003 and then went UW-Parkside and played Rugby. Coach moved to Arizona in 2005 to pursue a golf career. He has seen his passion for the game of football return with his kids. In 2017 coach started assisting with the Junior Husky Football Program. Last year was his first official year coaching as the Offensive and Defensive Line Coach for the Horizon Husky Freshman Team. Coach Westrick and his wife Molly have three children, one daughter Beau, and two sons Gates and Slate.
James Tomas - Receivers
Coach James Tomas comes from Garfield, New Jersey where he was a 3-year letterman in Football, Basketball, and Track. Started the Jr Huskies Football Program back in the Fall of 2013 and continues to lead the program to the present day. Began coaching the Freshman Team at Horizon High School in the Fall of 2014 to the present day. Coach Tomas has a son, Jacob, who graduated from Horizon High School in 2017.
Ryan Eckholm - Linebackers
Ryan grew up in Stevens Point, WI where he earned all-conference honors in football as a linebacker and also competed in varsity basketball and wrestling. Ryan received an appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1986 to attend college, where he continued to compete in both football and wrestling. He was a two-year starter in football and played linebacker on the 10-1 1988 ECAC championship football team.
