2020 Tax Credit Donation for Huskies Football

We are gearing up for 2021 Huskies Football and are looking for your support in our Tax Credits 4 Touchdowns Campaign between now and April 15, 2021. We all pay our state taxes, so why not choose where your tax dollars go and support our football program? Making an AZ Public Schools Tax Credit donation that will go directly to the Huskies Football Program is an easy option for our team. It is important to remember this donation is dollars you would be paying to the State of Arizona when filing your 2020 state income tax.

What is a Tax Credit? A dollar-for-dollar reduction in the actual tax you owe to the State of Arizona. How does it work? For example, if you owe $800 in state income taxes and you donate $400 to a public school for extracurricular activities, you can subtract $400 from your tax bill and pay the state just $400 or increase your refund by $400. *The maximum amount to donate for the AZ Public Schools tax credit is $400 if you are married filing jointly. If you are single or married but filing separate returns, each spouse can claim $200. This is a tax credit towards your taxes not a deduction.

Please make sure to include the athlete’s name on all contributions. The 2 families with the largest dollar amount of tax credits received by April 15 will receive a prize.

  1. Sign in using your name or your student’s name.  
  2. If you are a community member without a Horizon student, please create a Guest (community account).
  3. Choose the student’s name and select “Items at Student’s School” under the “Shop” section.
  4. Select “Tax Credit Donations – Athletics”
  5. Scroll down to Football and type in the donation amount in the second white box. (If you have paid only the $200 football participation fee towards the tax credit, then you have $200 remaining to meet the $400 maximum to donate to our football program.)
  6. Click on the blue “Buy” button.
  7. Confirm that the contents are correct and click “Checkout” in the top right corner.
  8. Click on the blue “Checkout Step 1: Additional Info” button.
  9. Fill out the parent’s name, address and athlete’s name and click on the blue “Checkout Step 2: Payment" button.
  10. Fill out all fields for credit card payment, including your billing address and select “Pay Now.”
  11. Print out a receipt and file the appropriate tax form to receive your tax credit.
